To make sustainability a center piece of the AtomicHub brand.
Carbon offsetting was incorporated in the shopping cart at point of sale. Participants can offset as little as 2.5 cents and can choose what carbon project to support. Users can opt-in to be included on the Leader Board.
All users are issued NFTs as rewards — the type of NFT issued depends on the user’s position on the carbon offsetting leader board. Every NFT carries points (the rarer the NFT, the more points it holds). Points offer the user the chance to win AtomicHub merchandise.
Meta Carbon’s tool set made it very easy for AtomicHub to add positive climate action at point of sale and to gamify the process. Making carbon offsetting fun was in keeping with the AtomicHub brand values, and encouraged increased participation levels.
