Meta Carbon provides software, tools, and information relating to carbon project inventory, reporting, retirement, and emissions measurement. Our free calculators produce estimates based on the GHG Protocol and published emission factors (UK DEFRA / BEIS, US EPA); they are not a substitute for formal compliance accounting.
2. Use of the Site
You agree to use the site lawfully and not to interfere with its operation. You are responsible for the accuracy of any information you submit through our forms and calculators.
3. Intellectual Property
All content on this site — copy, graphics, logos, videos, software — is owned by Meta Carbon or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.
4. Carbon Credits and Offsets
Where we facilitate the purchase or retirement of carbon credits, the underlying carbon projects are operated by third parties and credits are issued by independent registries (Verra, Gold Standard, CAR, ACR, and others). Meta Carbon does not guarantee the climate outcomes of any particular project beyond what the registry certifies.
5. Privacy
We use HubSpot to handle form submissions and customer communications. Information you submit is retained for the purpose of responding to your enquiry and, where you have opted in, sending relevant updates. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@meta-carbon.com.
6. Limitation of Liability
The site and our free tools are provided on an “as is” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meta Carbon is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.
7. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above indicates when the current version took effect.
